| Thought this was pretty funny:
On another note, having trouble focusing to study. My test is Tuesday and then I'll be bombed with other stuff immediately after that but I barely started. Only half-way through my 2nd lecture :(
Argh, it's been a long 2 weeks....
Saw the advisor yesterday and got my classes registered. Just need to get my workshop and I should be set for the Spring semester. I should be on track to finish my degree in the Fall =]
| Registered for my MCAT's when it opened (November 2nd). Got January 30, 2010 at 1PM. It costed me $225!!!! I was shocked to see the fee to register. It costs $55 if you want to change your date, time, or location. Unbelievable....
On another note, finished picking my schedule on Monday and blew off doing hw Physics hw. Skipped the reading quiz and in-class quiz too. Ugh.... shouldn't have skipped. I just don't feel like going to class. I was supposed to go see the advisor and submit my schedule for priority registration but the lady was out sick. She called me today and made an appointment for tomorrow instead. Was supposed to meet up with Dorothy to view our Micro exam but we rescheduled that cuz she had a test haha. Ended up playing pool with Chris, Andie, and Vu. Me and Vu lost to Andie and Chris so got Andie ice cream and a drink. Dang, still can't beat her yet. Chris and Vu are crazy good. I need more practice!
Bought this watch last Friday and finally received it today:
Looks really nice in person. Much better than I had expected it to look :) Got some pretty cool features. I need to go get the band adjusted before I can wear it though :(
Also received my Old Navy and Banana Republic stuff yesterday. The dress shirt is too long so I'm gonna return that though.
Spending so much money recently!
On another note, I got the highest score on the midterm for genetics lab. I didn't even study!!!! hahaha. I only crammed 30 minutes before the exam. And when I say cram, I was just talking with Hoang. hahaha. But the midterm paper raped me :( 32 out of 75. Ouch.... Guess I'm gonna need to step up my game on the final paper.
Also, got the driver for my mousepad so I can scroll and found the driver for the fingerprint scanner so I can use my fingerprint to login to Windows again. :) According to the device manager, I'm missing 3 drivers. I believe one of them is the quickplay buttons, which is fine. I don't recognize what the other 2 were though.
Yesterday, T-Mobile had a nationwide service issue. Apparently a lot of people couldn't call/text/use data. I was out of service range for 3 hours (from 6 PM to 9 PM) anyways so I didn't notice anything. I was able to text just fine when I got home so I didn't notice anything haha :)
| Happy Belated Halloween!
Did a clean install of Windows 7 this past Friday (Oct 30). I'm liking it a lot. Boot time is noticeably faster than Vista for me. I'm missing 2 or 3 drivers though. Missing Fingerprint driver (so can't sign on with a fingerprint swipe), mousepad (can't vertical scroll), and proper sound/quickplay drivers (sometimes hear a click instead of a beep). But, it's running pretty smoothly so I can't complain. Now waiting for good security software to go on sale to get some. Prefer Trend Micro but I might consider McAfee or a free alternative (Comodo).
Ordered a Sasuke costume last Sunday. However, since the seller was from China, it would take 10-20 days to ship, which would be way past Halloween so he offered a refund, which I accepted. As a result, I used my Batman cape and belt to go to Angela's party as Batman, and my scrubs, labcoat, and mask to go to Pravada as McDreamy (well, really any doctor).
Went to Angela's birthday/Halloween party after messing with Windows 7. Only knew a few people there but made new friends by the end of the night. Best part was watching Angela take a shot of Everclear and playing pool :) Met Andie, Andy, Huy, and Amy. I lost to Andie so I want a rematch!
Party at the IQ Center was rather lame last night. Not many old faces showed up. Paranormal Activity was a let-down too. Story took way too long to progress and it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. Still was scary though. Just not WAY scary...
Alice in Wonderland party at Pravada afterwards. Ran into Bao and Dorothy. Wasn't surprised to see Bao but was surprised to see Dorothy. She said Tony was there too but I texted him and he just left. Well, the fire marshals shut down the dance floor because they were over capacity. Weak! Just chilled outside till closing and went to Mai's for food. It was too packed so we went to Denny's. Ordered food but took Lancey home so had to get the food to-go instead. Oh well. Still had fun overall.
Starting to use my Crest Whitestrips Pro version today. It's supposed to be a 10-day plan but I'm only using 1 pair of strips per day instead of 2 pairs so it is going to take me 20 days to complete. I hope it works :)
| So, this past Thursday on my way to Physics class, I saw a small group of people crowded around a girl on the floor at SR1. It looks like the girl had collapsed and she was grabbing her chest in pain. A man was on his cell phone asking for EMS to come. I stood to see what was going on and realized the girl was still conscious but in pain. I didn't know why she was in pain but figured I couldn't do anything to help and she should be fine since the guy called the EMS already. I went to class.
About 2 minutes later, my professor comes in and asks if anyone knew CPR and said if you do, to go outside. So about 5 people stood up and ran out. I decided to go along. The girl was laying on the floor when we came out. Earlier, she was propped up against the statue. She was still conscious but I could tell she was having trouble breathing. One of the campus police guys were there but he didn't know what to do. One of the guys in my class tried to talk with her while telling some girl to move her feet or something. I felt bad because I couldn't help. I had already forgotten my CPR and First Aid training since it's been a few years since I got certified. I heard the ambulance coming so I ran out to get them. On the way in, the guy asked for info so I told him the girl had difficulty breathing and had chest pains and a headache. So once the EMS guy got there, I went back to class.
But after this event, I want to go get certified for CPR and First Aid again. Who knows when I might need it again? =/ I hope that girl is okay....
| I just saw Dead Fantasy 1-5 (Jae Phan posted a link on Facebook). It is so cool! I can't wait for more!
